Coaching

IR Share assists the secretaries of EWCs or SE Works Councils by providing exchanges with industrial relations experts and EWCs or SE WCs secretaries (or former secretaries), so that they can improve their performance and assert themselves more effectively in their new role. We also trained and supported managers who were taking on responsibility for a EWC or SE-WC.

Sometimes you may feel a little alone when you start your term as EWC secretary or manager in charge of a EWC. IR Share can help you!

We supported the secretary of the EWC of a large group who was elected to everyone’s surprise without really having had time to prepare for her role. Another experience involved a member of the EWC who was also a Force Ouvrière union coordinator within the Suez group, helping him to develop his skills in his role as a member of the EWC.

Why This Training Matters

Enabling EWC members to tackle complex issues and providing them with expertise, thanks to our network of experts across the EU and our links with European research centres.

No one learns how a EWC works at school or during their studies! So, when you suddenly find yourself having to run one, whether you are elected secretary of the EWC, extra support is always welcome. Especially to avoid mistakes.

Who It’s For

  • We act as experts, accompanied by someone with experience as a EWC secretary or manager in charge of a EWC

Access to networking

  • We invite those we support to EWC Club meetings so that they can benefit from the experience of their peers.

Expert, IR Share

Robert Textoris has been a member of the secretariat of the European works council of the Engie group since its creation following the merger between the Suez group and Gaz de France. He became secretary in 2016. He took part in 3 revisions of the EWC agreement, which provides for a wide range of resources for the functioning of the EWC (missions, working group, annual training, etc.). In particular, it obtained an exceptional framework for meetings with candidates for the takeover of the Equans services subsidiary. This led to a specific agreement to preserve collective guarantees when the 75,000 employees were sold to the Bouygues group. Robert’s experience of European Works Councils goes back to 2003, when he started working for Electricité de France.
